Abstract : The article focuses on the creation of the Societas Europaea (SE) in 2000, which is the business entity approved for European Union (EU) regulation. Topics include the simplified merger procedure created by SEs, the formation of SEs by public or private companies, and the shareholder created organization of the SE.
