Résumé

The article discusses conceptual blending theory which integrates concepts and contributes to inferential reasoning. The axes of similarity of inputs from two domains and distance between domains of language use and knowledge from the inputs are mentioned. Research related to how conceptual blending theory works is noted. Topics include how blending theory can be used to develop and support novel theory, spotlight counterfactuals in thought experiments, and causal relations between action and consequence.
