Scientific Evidence in International and European Law: Proceedings of the first young researchers workshop on science e law

Abstract : The relationship between law and science is a controversial topic in both international and domestic legal systems. This book, which collects the papers presented at the 1st Young Researchers workshop on Law & Science, focuses in particular on the role of scientific evidence in International and European law. In particular, it looks at the interface between law and science in the following areas: international trade, environmental law and climate change, intellectual property, biomedicine and the law of the sea. A special attention is devoted to the precautionary principle.
